nook is not your regular creative space, there really is nothing else like it in Inverness!
Pull up a chair, I’ll make you a brew, choose from our menu of makes, and you can enjoy 2 hours (or more) of time just for you, or bring a friend, the more the merrier.
Join us for one of our creative workshops, courses, well being sessions or social gatherings? nook is a friendly hub for all, you can drop in, unwind, and spend time creating.
Oh, and did we mention…. free tea and coffee!

nook exists for people who need a proper pause, you do not have to be creative or artistic, you just need to be you and we support you with the rest!
Crafting sessions in Inverness.
Here’s an idea: you book a session, choose what you want to make from our menu, and I sort everything else.
Materials and tools provided, and a cuppa made fresh for you. Biscuits always on the table, or why not bring your favourite snack to enjoy!
You just turn up and enjoy! No experience needed, no pressure, just come as you are, pick something to make and see what happens.

Your booking gets you a relaxing 2-hour creative session with tea or coffee and biscuits included.
When you book, you'll choose one of our four creative categories:

These categories simply help you reserve your place, so don’t stress too much about choosing as when you arrive, you're welcome to change your mind if another project catches your eye. If you decide to swap to a higher-priced craft, you can simply pay the difference.
This means every visit is flexible, relaxed and centred around what inspires you on the day.
Maybe you're visiting Inverness, looking for a rainy-day activity, catching up with friends, celebrating a birthday, on a date, or simply carving out some time for yourself, there's always something creative waiting for you.

As well as drop in sessions, nook runs a calendar of guided workshops and courses where you really get into a craft or skill.
These are small, friendly and genuinely worth your time. Some workshops are one off and others run across a few sessions, ALL of them involve a cuppa!

Not everything needs a project attached to it.
nook social events are all kinds of different. Some creative, some not, all worth showing up for!
The kind of evenings where you meet people you wouldn’t have met otherwise, stay longer than you meant to, and leave feeling like Inverness is a great place to be.

nook wellbeing classes and groups are built around exactly that. Gentle, inclusive sessions on a number of topics and connecting with others around these subjects as a great starting point for feeling more you.

nook offers a range of creative sessions, workshops, social gatherings and events.
The “Cuppa & Create” sessions run daily when open. You can book a 2 hours session to make something and this includes free tea & coffee!
We have a calendar of guided workshops available for you to attend.
We have a hire space for people to run their own workshops or host groups / meetings.

We are based on the first floor, our door is between the entrance to the Victorian Market and Ladbrokes.

Nook will be open every day apart from Tuesday, when we close for a well earned day off!
Opening hours 10am - 6pm
The last session available is 4pm.
Workshops and events can, and will be run in the evenings.

You can book online via this website to secure a seat at either a cuppa and create session or a workshop.
walk ins are welcome, although this will be subject availability at the time. Booking ahead always secures your seat!

nook welcomes anyone aged 10 and above! We ask that anyone under 16 is accompanied by an adult as some of the crafts and tools we use may require a little extra supervision.
I am working on dedicated sessions for younger children in the future, so watch this space and sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about all the developments.

I want to be as welcoming as possible to everyone, and be completely transparent about the space. nook is located on the first floor of a Victorian listed building, which unfortunately means I am unable to provide a lift or wheelchair access.

Yes! You are absolutely welcome to. nook is a great solo treat and equally fun with friends.

Yes, you can!
There’s a private room available to hire for groups, meetings, and independent tutors to run workshops.
It can be hired for one off or regular sessions.
The space can also be used for craft sessions for celebrations, ie birthday’s, hen-do’s, baby showers, friends gatherings.
The whole or nook can also be hired for a larger event as well.
The Shnook hire room hold between 16 - 20 people depending on layout, and the whole space holds around 40 people in total.

You are able to upgrade to cafetière coffee and speciality teas.
A small selection of snacks and soft drinks are available to purchase.
We are not licensed.

Yes! It’s one of the most unique things to do in Inverness, perfect for visitors to the Highlands of Scotland, looking for something different. It is also a great activity for a rainy day.
